Jersey Shore Tournament Once again the Jersey Shore Tournament was a huge success for the club and all the participating sides. The fields were green and the skys were clear and hot as the 27th annual tournament went off without a hitch. We had clubs representing over 7 states to compete. We had 5 divisions, Premier, Club A, Club B, Women and Old Boys. Congrats to all the winners on the day. Check the tournament site for details! |

Recruiting We have a new "guru" of recruiting for the club this year. Ryan Fitzpatrick has volunteered his time to handle the tough aspect of recruiting. In our new website we have added a "New Members" page. This will allow people who are new to the club to add their contact information and a club member will contact them in reference to joining the club. |
Upcoming Events - GOLF OUTING 08' 3rd Annual Victoria Knight MacBeth Golf Outing hosted by Monmouth RFC is set for October of 2008. The outing is being played at Bamm Hollow Country Club in Middletown, NJ. Bamm Hollow is opperated by Troon Golf and is one of the premier golf courses in the metropolitan area. Off-Season Training Our coach Brian Muller has devised an off season training guide for all of our players. It is encouraged that all members begin their training early, a good mix of cardio and weight training is necessary for a player to compete on a high level of ability. A copy of the training manual can be obtained by emailing Brian Muller and a copy will be sent via a reply. |
SponsorshipsChris Kaldrovics once again is the face of our fund raising team. Chris has been able to solicit Mann Finanical as a major sponsor of the club and the events the club sponsors. Chris also successfully ran the 1st Annual Victoria Knight MacBeth Golf Outing which was a huge success for the club as well as for all the sponsors and players that participated. In the Heat of the Summer....
This is the home of the Monmouth Rugby Football Club. Our site is constantly changing and being udated, so check back frequently to view new updates and stories, newsletters, etc... as they become available.
This past spring, the Monmouth Men started strong winning the first playoff game in several years beating Morris RFC 40 - 10. In the second playoff game against Bayonne, Monmouth played very well but came up short losing in the final mintues 13-17. Monmouth finished their playoff run by losing to Hartford RFC on the final play of the game in what was one the best played games in recent history. The final was 24-27, which put an end to the playoff run for Monmouth. The spring season was culminated by our annual Monmouth Day celebration, which this year took on a different twist with Monmouth RFC (Wales) coming into town. To read more click here...
